BTS's fifth studio album 'Arirang' has claimed top positions on major weekly charts both domestically and around the globe.
Information from the album sales tracking platform Hanteo Chart, dated the 30th, indicates that BTS's 'Arirang' secured the top spot on the weekly world chart and album chart for the period of March 23-29. The album reached the top position in the third week of March, just three days post-release on the 20th, and maintained this position for two consecutive weeks.

As reported by Billboard on the 30th, 'Arirang' has claimed the top position on the main album chart, 'Billboard 200', for the week dated April 4. The album debuted with 641,000 units sold, representing the highest weekly group album performance since the introduction of unit tracking in December 2014. Of these units, 532,000 were from pure album sales, encompassing both physical and digital formats. This achievement marks a new record for the highest weekly sales for a group album in over ten years.
BTS also achieved significant success on global music platforms. For the tracking period of March 20-26, they topped Spotify's weekly charts, which include 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists'. The leading single 'SWIM' achieved first place on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global', while all 14 tracks from the album were listed in the top 30.
The single 'SWIM' maintained its top spot on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global' charts for 9 and 7 days, respectively, from March 20-28 and March 23-29. The album's complete tracklist was included in the latest charts on both platforms. Even ten days after release, all tracks, including the main single, continue to receive significant attention, reflecting the strong support from international music fans.
BTS is set to conduct the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on April 9, 11, and 12. The tour will continue in October with stadium concerts across South American countries such as Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. All 46 performances, encompassing Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have already sold out, highlighting their substantial ticket-selling capacity.
